Let's Invest Girls is again taking proactive steps in educating young women in the field of financial literacy.

Bandung, September 13, 2024 – Located at SMKN 15 Bandung, Let’s Invest Girls held a workshop “The Power from Within; Financial Literacy Leadership Communications” which was attended by 50 teenage girls. This event aims to provide basic knowledge about financial management, the importance of saving, investing, and long-term financial planning for the younger generation, especially women.

The workshop is part of an sustainable education program initiated byLet’s Invest Girls, an initiative aimed at empowering teenage girls to be better prepared for future financial challenges. It is hoped that similar activities will continue to be held in other schools, so that
more teenage girls will have sufficient knowledge to manage their finances wisely.

“Through this workshop, we hope to instill a strong understanding in teenage girls about the importance of financial literacy in everyday life. This is an important skill that will help them achieve financial independence in the future,” said Usep Aceng, S.Pd, M.T. as the Vice Principal for Student Affairs of SMKN 15 Bandung.

In addition to basic materials, participants were also invited to participate in interactive sessions, where they asked questions and introduced various financial expenses that are in accordance with the needs of teenagers. The response from the participants was very enthusiastic, with many questions asked regarding how to save and start investing early. This activity is not only limited to providing materials, but also inspiring teenage girls to start thinking about their financial future as early as possible.

This workshop was not only attended by students of SMKN 15 Bandung, but also attended by Tiwi Dewanti Kartadibrata S.Pd., M.M.Pd as Public Relations Staff of SMKN 15, Widad Farid Dziab, S.Psi., Psychologist from the Indocompetence Team, Dewi Rahmadania, M.Pd, from the Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) team, and of course Elvera N. Makki as the Initiator of Let’s Invest Girls (LIG).

One of the participants of this workshop, Dinda Puspasari, a grade 11 student, SMKN 15 Bandung, said that she was helped by this workshop because she had never received formal financial education before. With this workshop, she became more aware of how to manage monthly money and start investing.

With the spirit of change, Let’s Invest Girls is determined to reach more teenage girls throughout Indonesia, so that the younger generation of women are better prepared to face the increasingly complex financial world.
