From Campus to the Professional World: VMCS Advisory Indonesia and Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Strengthen Academic Collaboration through the Campus Impact Program
VMCS Advisory Indonesia continues to expand its collaboration with the academic community through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) – Surakarta, 19 October 2026, under the VMCS Campus Impact program: “Empowering Futures, Knowledge Beyond the Classroom.” This collaboration reflects VMCS Advisory Indonesia’s ongoing commitment to bridging academia and industry, while equipping students with relevant communication skills to navigate future professional challenges.
Through the VMCS Campus Impact program, VMCS Advisory Indonesia promotes the development of communication competencies, business communication, and professional skills that enable students to apply their academic knowledge in real-world contexts. This collaboration also creates opportunities for knowledge exchange between industry practitioners and the academic community, allowing students to gain broader perspectives on the professional world and evolving industry landscape.
Elvera N. Makki, Founder & CEO of VMCS Advisory Indonesia, further reinforced the spirit of this collaboration by delivering a public lecture titled Inspirational Communications Career Talk, under the theme “Beyond the Classroom, Beyond Your Degree: Stand Out. Get Noticed. Get Ahead.” Through this session, students were encouraged to recognize the importance of building a strong personal brand, strengthening interpersonal skills, and communicating their ideas and potential clearly and confidently. Communication skills are essential in preparing students for various professional challenges, from navigating recruitment processes and building professional networks to collaborating with diverse stakeholders and advancing their careers.
Eka Nada Shofa Alkhajar, S.Sos., M.Si – Head of the Communication Science Study Program FISIP UNS stated, “The career journey of a Communication Studies graduate extends beyond what is learned in the classroom and the academic degree they earn. Today’s professional landscape demands more than theoretical knowledge. Employers seek individuals who demonstrate adaptability, strong communication skills, creativity, collaboration, leadership, and a commitment to lifelong learning.”
Through its collaboration with Universitas Sebelas Maret, VMCS Advisory Indonesia hopes to further expand the Campus Impact program’s reach and impact across Indonesia’s academic community.
