Data analyst plays a critical role in helping VMCS and its clients make data-driven decisions that improve the effectiveness of their public relations campaigns.

Scope of Work:

  1. Collecting and organizing data related to the company’s PR campaigns, such as media coverage, website traffic, and social media engagement.
  2. Analyzing data to identify trends and patterns that can inform future PR strategies and tactics.
  3. Creating reports and presentations communicating key findings to clients.
  4. Monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of PR campaigns in real time and making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  5. Collaborating with other members of the PR team to develop data-driven PR strategies that align with client goals.
  6. Staying up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies related to data analysis in PR and making recommendations for new tools or techniques that could improve the company’s data analysis capabilities.


  • Strong analytical skills: The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw insights is essential. You should be comfortable working with large datasets, structuring and cleaning data, identifying patterns, and obtaining insights.
  • Technical skills: Familiarity with data tools: Proficient in using data tools like Excel, SQL, R, or Python is a plus. Knowledge of statistical analysis, data visualization, and data modelling is also important.
  • Communication skills: Communicate your findings effectively to stakeholders, including to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. This includes presenting data clearly and concisely, explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and making recommendations based on your insights.
  • Industry knowledge: Familiarity with the PR industry, including media monitoring, crisis management, and reputation management, can be beneficial in understanding the context in which the data is being analyzed.


  • Education: S1/S2 in related field like statistics, data science, or business analytics.
  • Min. GPA 3.2
  • Experience in data analysis of around two years, preferably in a PR consulting firm.
  • Attention to detail: You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to identify inconsistencies or errors in data.
  • Continuous learning: As a data analyst, you should be committed to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest tools and techniques in data analysis. This includes attending training programs, webinars, and industry events.

  1. Support client accounts by conducting research, creating presentations, coordinating events, and helping with media outreach.
  2. Media Relations: Responsible for building relationships with journalists and pitching story ideas to the media on behalf of clients.
  3. Writing and editing press releases, media pitches, and other client communication materials.
  4. Analytics and reporting on the success of PR campaigns using various tools and methods, such as media monitoring and social media analytics.
  5. Strategy development on PR plans and tactics for clients, including messaging and positioning.
  6. Internal communication: Responsible for keeping internal teams up-to-date on client projects and progress.
  7. Continuous learning: Committed to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest tools and techniques in PR knowledge, including attending training programs, webinars, and industry events.

  1. Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field. Min. GPA 3.2
  2. Relevant experience: At least 2-3 years experience in PR or related fields. This can include internships, entry-level PR roles, or related work experience in a corporate communications department or agency.
  3. Strong communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, can communicate politely and effectively with clients, media, and internal teams regularly.
  4. Media relations skills: Strong media relations skills, including building relationships with journalists and pitch story ideas.
  5. Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills to measure the success of PR campaigns, including tracking media coverage and social media metrics.
  6. Teamwork: PR consulting is a collaborative field, so an associate consultant should be able to work well with others and be a strong team player.
  7. Adaptability and flexibility in PR’s fast-paced and unpredictable field, the candidate should be able to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.


Job Description:

  1. Support PR campaigns in the development and execution, which can include media relations, event planning, content creation, and social media management.
  2. Assist in media monitoring and reporting to track clients’ progress and success.
  3. Assist in research clients, industries, and trends to help inform PR strategies and campaigns.
  4. Support administrative tasks such as organizing files, scheduling meetings, and preparing materials for presentations.
  5. Support writing and editing press releases, social media posts, and other written materials and editing and proofreading these materials.
  6. Support event planning and execution, such as press conferences or product launches.

  5. Adaptability to the fast-paced and unpredictable, including adapting to changing priorities and tight deadlines and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  6. Initiative: proactive and take the initiative to identify areas where they can add value and contribute to the team.


  1. Currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor/master degree program, such as public relations, communications, marketing, international relations, or journalism. Min. GPA 3.2
  2. Strong academic record, including a high GPA or relevant coursework.
  3. Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, polite, suitable manner, and contribute to the team.
