As a Media Partner, VMCS supports the 2026 Indonesian Public Relations Convention (KHI 2026), organized by PERHUMAS in Surakarta on October 17–18, 2026.

Under the theme “Public Relations as a Driving Force for the Nation: Weaving Trust, Moving Indonesia Forward,” KHI 2026 brings together communication professionals, organizational leaders, academics, government representatives, media practitioners, and diverse stakeholders to strengthen the public relations profession’s contribution to building trust and fostering cross-sector collaboration.

PERHUMAS Chairman Boy Kelana Soebroto emphasized that rapid technological advances and the accelerating flow of information have created significant challenges for public relations professionals, particularly in safeguarding reputation and public trust.

“Today, change is happening faster than our ability to fully comprehend it. Artificial intelligence is advancing at an extraordinary pace. Information flows without boundaries. Disinformation is spreading more widely than ever. Reputations built over decades can be transformed in minutes. The greatest challenge we face is, ultimately, a crisis of trust,” Boy stated during the KHI 2026 Kick-Off event. This perspective serves as one of the foundations of KHI 2026. Amid the overwhelming flow of information, the rapid evolution of AI, and the growing threat of disinformation, public relations extends far beyond delivering messages.

For VMCS, the vision behind KHI 2026 closely aligns with its commitment to advancing ethical, stakeholder-centered strategic communication that creates sustainable social impact.

“Trust is a fundamental foundation of the relationship between organizations and society. Amid technological transformation and evolving public expectations, we need communication that is increasingly strategic, grounded in integrity, and capable of bridging diverse interests. VMCS supports KHI 2026 as part of our shared commitment to strengthening the communication profession and making meaningful contributions to Indonesia,” said Elvera N. Makki, Founder and CEO of VMCS Communications and Social Impact.

Through the spirit of collaboration championed by KHI 2026, PERHUMAS and its stakeholders, including VMCS, share a common aspiration to strengthen Indonesia’s communication ecosystem, one that is professional, adaptive, and guided by integrity. The ideas and insights generated through this forum are expected to translate into communication practices that reinforce trust, create organizational value, and deliver tangible benefits to society.

The convention also aims to serve as a collaborative platform for strengthening trust as a vital form of national social capital, while advancing the public relations profession’s contribution to Indonesia’s inclusive, collaborative, and sustainable development.
